Got an email from big Dave. He’s coming in for E3 and wants to know if I can be there and if I can introduce him to Tiger Hill. I said I would and that I could.
Although I’ve been ignoring it. Looks like the Guild may go for a strike this year.

Navid the Hostel
Finally pulled a pitch together for Navid on Hostel. I met him for a late lunch today and pitched him the story while he ate meatloaf. I had two orders of Chopin, but then…I’m a redneck. I think he dug it. He had some concerns but said he’d get back to me.
Oh, and my father called today to wish himself a happy birthday yesterday. Oops.
Ahh, the love….
Got an email from Goldstein that was a forward from several of the other producers talking about Last Vamp and me as a writer. That sort of email throws you off. We ain’t used to people saying kind things about us. But they were all very kind. Now if only Sci-Fi feels the same way then we are golden. Later in the day I got a very kind note from Whitley as well. I got nothing against all the love.
Sent my feature outline for Demonik to Lori today. Waiting to hear her thoughts.
Finally got Painkiller running. Patrick’s genius son, Devin, talked me through hacks and cracks and because a company tried too hard to stop hackers they have turned me into a newbie hacker. But the game is unfreaking believable.
Vampire and Narcosis
Goldstein and the crew sent Vampire over to Sci-Fi this morning. I wasn’t expecting that. I was expecting more notes. Nice change. Of course, ICM and my lawyer may skin me since I haven’t been paid for commencement but I reckon we’ll all survive it.
Patrick and I have a phone call with Mark Evans of Paramount. He had some questions concerning Narcosis and luckily Patrick and I had discussed them all previously so we had quick answers. He seemed like a smart guy and he seemed pleased with our answers. Said he needed to sit back and let it all soak in. I believed him. I think he’s in a place where Paramounts in a strain and he can’t go out making hasty calls.
The Punisher
The Punisher opens tomorrow. Sent Hensleigh an email wishing him the best.
