Mike turned his notes around lightning fast. He gave a great note. If I didn’t love a written scene then cut it back to action. Good note. I made a pass doing just that and dropped the page count to around 130. I also acted on Whitley’s notes as I made the pass and night one is solid.
Gonna read in the morning and send his way. From the way he’s talking Sci-Fi’s getting antsy. Of course, they’re expecting a 5 to 10 page outline. They are getting diamonds and gold dipped in chocolate.

Nights one and two
Sent the longest most detailed outline ever written to Mike. 160 pages of script. If the scene was in my head I wrote it. If it wasn’t then I just tore through it with action.
I got Whitley’s notes on night one and they were very detailed. No doubt the cat knows this world. He gave some suggested changes and I gotta say, most of them I loved. There were a couple we bantered about but I’m loving working with this guy. He’s smart, easy to work with and knows his stuff.
Painkiller!
Mel picked up both Painkiller and Far Cry for me today. Course, Painkiller won’t run. I’ve been screwing with it for a couple of hours and near as I can tell from the message boards, it’s a no CD copy security issue where the security is tweaked to freaking high. It won’t run on my system because I have CD copying software. I’ve followed the manual and the message boards and disabled and done everything in my power but no dice.
Dean’s been playing all day long. I hate him.
Gonna get back on Vampire.
Dark Age and Painkiller
Well, Mel, Dean and I have jumped back into Dark Age and we’ve been having a blast. Dean bought a level 50 Minstral off the ebay then he bought a level 50 pally who was also a grandmaster weapons smith and owned a house. Mel and I bought another Level 50 with grandmaster armor smith and grandmaster tailor and another house. Then two houses came available near one of our others so we bought those too. Now we got four houses and the upkeep on those four are still less than buying a mansion.
By the way, I realize this means zip to normal people.
Dean and I have started playing the Painkiller demo and it is non-stop killing fun. It’s like old school quake or Doom but the graphics are amzing. The game comes out next week.
Food gone bad
I was up all night with the hot and nasty coming out both ends. I spoke with Patrick and we decided he’d go do the Paramount pitch to Mark Evans solo. It was too late to cancel on them. I just got off the phone with him and it sounds like he did great, which I figured he would. Hated putting him on the spot but I’ve no doubts in his ability. I was thinking this was food poisoning and I guess it was because I feel much better now. I got snacky last night and ate some slightly old Chinese.
