WGA and studios are still in negotiations. The buzz is good.

Nicole just called. She talked with Stokely. Stokely is reading a script for FvsJ now and she likes it. Dean and I are out. At least Jimmy still has a shot. Guess it’s back to Riddle Me This.
Should hear something in the next day or so about the writer’s strike. Contract’s up today.
Jimmy talked with his agent. His agent talked to Stokely, the exec in charge of FvsJ. She loved the movie and says Jimmy’s at the top of the list to direct it. But they have writers working on a script at present.
Meeting Jimmy and Dean at noon for Sushi. We’re gonna talk through the Freddy/Jason pitch. I did a draft of FvsJ many moons ago but this would be a different deal. This would be New Line and before it was Sean. Big fish, little fish. Different worlds, different pay and different meaning. It’s worth it if I can get it. FvsJ has always been a slam dunk idea. It’ll make 100 million off of the idea alone. It’s an event. A monkey could write it and if they hire me then a monkey will.
