I met with Geoff today at Valhalla pictures. He’s fairly new there and has taken over some interesting development projects. Magdelena was the one that jumped out at me. It’s a Top Cow comic about a descendant of Mary Magdelne who now kicks ass for the Lord, killing vampires and evil. If they’ll have me I’m going to try to pursue the development with them. There’s no money in it for me at this point. It’ll just be free work but everything I’m doing is free so why not on a project I sort of dig. Plus, Valhalla is run by Gale Ann Hurd, Hensleigh’s wife. Gale has a rep for chewing up people and spitting them out so I may end up covered in saliva but who knows.

Tiger Hill
Went back to Tiger Hill this morning to discuss other possible projects. They had a bunch of cool ideas. Gonna play around with a war type idea they had.
Riddle to Hensleigh
Another draft to Hensleigh. No idea how much work I’ve put in on this little darling. I’ve got to be barking up around 30 to 40 drafts. Hopefully Hensleigh will dig this pass.
Mind blowing incident on Friday. I got a check from Tiger Hill. We had no contract and no handshake. And it seems that Sega passed on Demonik, but Tiger sent me a check for 2,500 from their discretionarey fund. Not much cash but I can promise you, that gesture is un-freaking heard of out here.
Something odd…
I’m gettting along with Sarah. That’s Mel’s cousin. Sarah moved out here to be an actor. She lived with us from 6 months to a year. Heck, everyone has lived with us at some point, Jennifer, Natalie, Mel’s dad. But Sarah and I were always on edge around each other. She’s headstrong and so am I and we just did not click. She knows now what she didn’t know. Everyone goes through this. You think your star will shine because you believe in it so much. You are all-knowing and full of the power of the dream when you first move out there. That was me and that was Sarah. Well, Sarah’s hit a few walls and she’s matured because of it. Not as a person but as a dream chaser. Hollywood life slaps you in the face. You either learn to deal with it or you move back to Kentucky. Sarah’s learned to deal. Wish her the best.
Loreys in Calabasas
Mel’s working herself into a stress fit. But it’s all coming along. Dean and Elizabeth’s new place looks great. I’ve even thrown in a bit of work here and there myself.
The Audi has been paying the price as well. It’s a long drive. Mel’s put 3000 miles on the little blue demon in two months. Slighty worrisome since we only get 10k a year. But the truck is a monster and a gas drinker so the Audi is still the better choice for her.
Friday night the movers attack the place in force. Mel and I are gonna spend the night out there to help with the unpacking Saturday.
