Sigh, Blue Star should call today. That’s the Scarecrow Producers. Two weeks. I was supposed to get my notes over the weekend and it’s been two weeks. So, I’ll listen to their brilliance and start my second free pass.
Nicole finished Past Tense. She dug it. She’s passing it around the office to get some more feedback.
Gonna see Harry Potter with the Loreys tomorrow night. I love Harry.
Called Braga’s office today about the Enterprise gig. Jimmy tells me he’s been saying he needs a good writer and hey…I’m goodish. Waiting for a callback.
Carr called today. He’s my poker buddy. Used to be a Universal exec…left them to produce for a time. He produced a couple of Sandler movies I think. And Schnider’s “Animal”. Anyway, we’re meeting for lunch tomorrow.
Still no word from Hegeman with my Scarecrow notes. I was supposed to have them yesterday. That was the deal. They get a free pass but I get the notes fast. Sigh. I should have known.
The day not the movie. Sent Scarecrow to John Hegeman this morning. That’s the producer I said I wouldn’t do a second pass for. Eh, I wimped out. He’s supposed to give me his notes quick so I can turn it around to Revolution.
Trick or Treating at the Loreys tonight. Should be fun.
A buddy of Dean’s from work, Jim Vallely is neighbors with the guy who exec produces “Enterprice”. Jimmy’s gonna try to get me a meeting with Braga next week. I know of Braga from my FvsJ days. He and his partner made a pass on the team up years ago. Might be fun to work in TV.
Got my notes from the producers. All and all I thought they were good notes. Of course, I got railed slightly. They want me to address the notes then send the new draft to another producer in New York before giving it to the studio. Told them no. Told them to give him the present draft along with the notes they are having me address. Don’t think they liked that but if they wanted him to read it then they should have given it to him. I’m not doing two free passess.
Mel and I are going bowling with Chris and the girls tomorrow night.
General Meeting today with Amanda Klein. She and her partner are starting Primal Films. We talked scary stuff. Not sure anything will come of it but she was very nice.
