Who knows. I gave them a tight eight minute pitch but I can never read these meetings. Derek said the standard, “Let us discuss it and we’ll get back to you.” It’s a numbers game. The more I pitch the better my odds of putting the right story in front of the right people.
Pretty interesting idea they have. I really sparked to it. On the way home I came up with a take and called Derek back and told him I wanted to come back in. I’m going in tomorrow to pitch he, the producers and another New York producer will be on the phone. I’m gonna pitch them the horror version of “A Beautiful Mind”.
My meeting got pushed, going in this week to hear Derek’s idea. It’s a horror I think. Something to do with a Scarecrow. Not sure I want to write a killer scarecrow movie but how picky can I really be right now?
Going in to hear an idea from Derek Douchy at Revolution Studios. I met Derek back when I was doing that whole string of General Meetings after Riddle went out. I liked Derek alot. Most of those meetings became a blur but he stood out. Bald dude like meself. He or they have an idea and want to hear my thoughts. Basically I’ll go in, they’ll tell me a story then I’ll take a few days, go back and puke out my version. Speaking of Riddle, no money yet. I’ve signed my contracts but Hensleigh’s still in negotiations on his.
